Cosñirhua, Colca canyon

Short break, then on to the Sangalle oasis. Tomorrow will climb out of the canyon again. No llamas here.

  1. For your information: The llama is a quadruped which lives in the big rivers like the Amazon. It has two ears, a heart, a forehead, and a beak for eating honey. But it is provided with fins for swimming. Llamas are larger than frogs. Llamas are dangerous, so if you see one where people are swimming, you shout. Look out, there are llamas!

  2. Yes, unfortunately they (http://orangecow.org/pythonet/sketches/llamas.htm) don't live in the Colca river, but we didn't see them in the Amazonas either, just the friendly pink dolphins there.

  3. Could you bring home one of those? I'm sure Zsófi would love it.

Thanks very much for the beautiful Copacabana postcard. Curiously, it took one and a half months to get here, just as the card Tanel got. I guess I won't be using the services of the Tabatinga post office next time I'm visiting in Eastern-Brazil.

  4. I also wanted a pink dolphin, but we could not smuggle one out of the Amazon region, because its rostrum was peeking out of our bags... unfortunatley they are protected species. But hopefully Zsofi will like blue boobies too! :o)
